*o&|B5X;i"t Dundee Farmers' Markets Dundee’s popular farmers’ market runs on the third Saturday of each month from January through to December, offering a slice of the countryside in an urban setting.   Over the last few years, Dundee has become a strong regional retail location – with a pedestriansed, family-friendly city centre containing designer, high street and local independent names that have been tempting consumers to Dundee in ever-increasing numbers from far and wide.   And the monthly farmers’ markets have become a key event in the campaign to offer greater attractions to both local and visiting shoppers.   Organic vegetables, honey, preserves, Scottish wines and beers, home baking, roasted coffee beans, raspberry drinks, venison, lamb, beef, plants and herbs are on offer on the range of stalls which occupy Reform Street on the [color=red]third Saturday of the month between 9am-4pm[/color]. Cookery demonstrations are provided by Hilton Dundee's Chef between May and September, and at every market there is a different form of music to add to the atmosphere.   There is a strong accent on local goods, with a promise of quality that comes from buying direct from the producer.   Dundee City Council economic development convener Councillor Joe Morrow stresses that the markets are a unique ingredient in the Dundee retail recipe. He explains: “There has been a huge regeneration of Dundee city centre over the last decade or so and the city enjoys a growing reputation as one of the best places to shop in Scotland.   “The council and the City Centre Action Group of retailers are always very keen to help add on to this and keep encouraging people to come here. The farmers’ markets have been running for a number of years now and are very popular.   “There is a chance to buy some treats and excellent produce, and the market also has the effect of creating a real buzz around the centre.”6K{'V es;cGfsJ

Like it though expensive.
