世界大战阵亡将士纪念日

今天是世界大战阵亡将士纪念日。 大家一定注意到很多人胸前带着一朵小花。

The [b]eleventh hour[/b] of the [b]eleventh day[/b] of the [b]eleventh month[/b] marks the signing of the Armistice, on 11th November 1918, to signal the end of World War One.

Remembrance Day is on 11 November. It is a special day set aside to remember all those men and women who were killed during the two World Wars and other conflicts. At one time the day was known as Armistice Day and was renamed Remembrance Day after the Second World War.

we wear a red poppy in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for us during wars。

今天做公交车的时候，司机突然停下车来，然后让全车安静默哀两分钟

记得了, 这花叫Poppy.

国内还把这天叫做光棍节, 11月11日.

I went up to Dundee Law and joined the ceremony there on the day.  It's at 12.30 right after the ceremony in city centre at 11am.
