1.你在英国准备相关的材料;

2.你家里人在中国准备相关的材料,注所有中文的材料都需要有英文翻译件;

Scenario: Family visitor/ visitor
I can easily afford to pay for my family/friend to visit me. So why have they been refused?
It is always helpful in an application to see the status of a sponsor and to see their ability to fund a trip. However, the onus of the application is on the applicant and we have to look at the applicant's situation as well as the sponsor's, and determine whether there is an intention to leave the United Kingdom or not.
wonderful 26/11/2007 21:31
What can I do to help?
It is important for the Entry Clearance Officer to have all the relevant information before he or she reaches a decision. Whilst the evidence you provide in support of the application is important, it is not necessary for you to accompany the applicant to the British Embassy, if your visitor is invited for an interview.
If the person you are sponsoring is called for an interview please be aware that the Entry Clearance Officer may not ask to speak to you, unless he or she needs to clarify certain points.
If your visitor is refused a visa, the reasons for this will be explained in a written notice. UK legislation provides for certain categories of visitor to appeal against the decision. If a right of appeal exists in your visitor's case, this will be explained in the refusal notice.
wonderful 26/11/2007 21:36
Can I supply any evidence?
The onus is on the applicant to satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer that they qualify for a visa. We advise applicants to include full supporting documents when they lodge their application, and not to send them separately.
But if you are sponsoring someone, then you can obviously help to support their application. It helps the Entry Clearance Officers to make a decision, if the applicant shows as much evidence as possible of their personal circumstances. This includes employment; studies; financial circumstances; any assets that you own; details of travel outside China; details of your family members in China and overseas. If you are paying for your friend or relative's trip, or sponsoring them in another way, then Entry Clearance Officers would find it helpful to see the same kind of evidence relating to you too.
Sometimes people send us letters or declarations in support of an application. We take account of these. But for the purposes of UK immigration law, Entry Clearance Officers can't rely on these - they need evidence to support them.
Because everyone's circumstances are different, documentation required will vary from application to application.
wonderful 26/11/2007 21:37
What kind of evidence can I supply?
There are no hard and fast rules about what documentation you should produce when sponsoring a visitor to the United Kingdom. We will want to see evidence of your own immigration status in the United Kingdom. There are some other things you can do, particularly if the visit is for a special reason:
If the visit is for a holiday, or special family event, and you are a relative or a friend, it may be helpful to send in a letter of sponsorship, and an invitation, which explain your relationship to the applicant and why the visit is taking place at this particular time.
If the visit is for business purposes, it is helpful to see a letter outlining the links between your companies, the purpose of the trip, and how it is to be financed.
If you are offering to provide support and accommodation and/or to pay for travel to the United Kingdom, it is helpful to provide evidence of your ability to do so.
The kinds of documents that are useful to see include:
A letter of sponsorship detailing your occupation and salary and how you will be supporting and accommodating the applicant. You do not need to have this letter attested before a solicitor or Commissioner for Oaths.
Evidence of your ability to finance the trip, such as copies of your last six months bank or building society statements and salary slips. If you are in receipt of public funds, the entry clearance officer will need to consider carefully how long you will be able to maintain additional people on limited means; you will not be able to claim additional public funds to support your visitor.

Family Visitor
If you wish to visit a family member who is resident in the UK, then you will need to apply for a family visit visa. If you have not previously travelled to the UK before, you will only be allowed to apply for a six-month visit. Once you have visited the UK you will be eligible to apply for a longer length visa (although you are only allowed to stay up to six months on each occasion).
The only difference between this application and a normal visit application is that a family visit application attracts a right of appeal if the application is refused.
Family members are defined as follows;
Spouse
Son or daughter
Father or mother
Brother or sister, defined as: father's son or daughter
mother's son or daughter
Grandparent, defined as: mother's mother
mother's father

Aunt, defined as: sister of father or mother
sister of mother's husband
Nephew, defined as: son of brother or sister
Niece, defined as: daughter of brother or sister
First cousin, defined as: child of uncle or aunt
Spouse's father or mother
(spouse's brother or sister (as defined above)
Son or daughter's spouse
Stepparent, defined as:
father's wife, mother's husband
Stepchild, defined as: son or daughter of father or mother
Stepbrother or stepsister defined as: son or daughter of father or mother
Partner, defined as: a sponsor of either sex with whom the applicant has lived as member of an unmarried couple for at least two year's before the sponsor's arrival in the United Kingdom.

I would suggest you to provide half-year pay slip + half-year bank statement + mortgae arrangement or lease of your flat.
In fact, even you have plenty money, it cannot guarantee anything. It's your brother's situation which is the major player. He needs to arrange the deposit ASAP. He should have a good job in China and his company should write the letter stating how long he has been working with this company, what is his post, what is his salary, how long the company agrees to let him off, etc. Plus, other documents.

And it is right that your bro's finacial state is very important too.
In the visa application, it's all about two things:
1. You have enough money to support yourself. (The sponser in UK maybe is just a reference.)
2. You are sure to go back China.(If they think that you are intend to stay behind, they will reject. So your job is very important evidence to show how soon you'll be back.)

Step 1
Step 2
